General

Can h2x be in Different Languages ?

h2x is only available in English at the moment. Support for more languages is being considered for future. Please refer to the Feature Request Portal

Significant Quantities of Pipework in the Reports

If there are unexplainable quantities of pipework you have noticed in the Bill of Materials, this could be due to:

  • Wrong Height for the Pipes/Ducts

  • Wrong Height for the Inlet/Outlet of the Equipment (ASHP, Radiator, Flow Source and etc.,)

In Results tab, you may turn on Height Above Floor to spot any design discrepancies, and in Design tab you may also review the Inlet/Outlet Heights set for various pieces of Equipment

How to Make a Wall Translucent ?

If the Wall is made out of glass:

  • For Heat Loss purposes: Match the U-value of the Wall to a Glass U-value via Custom Materials or add a big Window to match the area.

  • For Heat Gain purposes: Add a big Window (matching the area) with the correct U-value respectively .

Zero Division Error Message

Zero Division error message is a bug related to the Underfloor Heating module. Heated Areas (Partitions), Unheated Areas and other UFH elements may cause this. It may be fixed by redoing specific Heated Areas, Unheated Areas or other UFH related design elements, but it's best to contact support via HelpHub & selecting Report an Issue.

Underfloor Heating Loop Lengths

To enable or disable Underfloor Heating Loop Lengths for either Rooms or Partitions, please refer to the Floor Plan Tab. Select the Results View and on the drop down menu & there will be a filter to enable or disable loop lengths.

Why My Loops are not populating the Room / Partition ?

If the Loops are not populating the Room / Heated Area (Partition), one of the reasons could be that the Walls are External. For the Loops or Transit Pipe to reach it's desired location - the Walls have to detect organically as Internal without manually overriding. Sometimes this involves making a "Passthrough" at the Door if the Walls are thick for example:

  • Select Add Wall Point to add more points for the Room to simulate a "Passthrough"

  • Redraw the Room if easier
