Heated Area Partition

Manual Splitting

The Heated Area Partition splits larger underfloor heating areas into multiple loops to prevent exceeding Maximum Loop Length limits.

This tool is essential when you receive a Warning indicating that a loop has exceeded its Maximum Length which is shown by a red box around Index Length @ Spacings. Alternatively, you can increase the Maximum Length in the Settings.

How to Add Heated Area Partitions

Step-by-step
  1. Select the Heated Area Partition button.

  2. Left-click to define each point of the partition line.

Ensure partitions are touching Walls to properly divide the space.

  3. Double left-click or Right-click to complete the partition.

If loops fail to generate, tweak the corners or reposition partitions for optimal alignment.

If auto-fill didn’t work, redraw by adding each wall point manually.

  4. Click Done in the top left corner, or press Escape to finalize.

Automatic Splitting

Once a Room has been assigned to a Manifold and has loops in it, it can be selected and automatically split into Partitions.

How to Automatically Split the Loops

  • In the Design tab, select the Room you would like to split into Partitions.

  • In the Properties pop up window - Loop Splitting is the first option:

    • High Effort: Complies with the Max. loop length parameter in the Systems Settings as much as possible, but it might take up to a minute to generate.

    • Low Effort: Attempts to comply with the Max. loop length parameter (less accurate than High Effort), but generates instantaneously.

    • Medium Effort: A mix between High Effort and Low Effort.

  • Once you have selected the option, please select Split Loops.

For the best results please opt in for the High Effort option.
