Boost Performance of the App

These steps are effective if your computer has a dedicated graphics card.

Method 1: Set Chrome to High-Performance Graphics in System Settings

Step-by-step
  1. Open System Settings:

    Navigate to your computer's Settings.

    Go to System > Display > Graphics.

  2. Add Google Chrome:

    Locate the option to add an app to the list.

    Select Google Chrome from the available apps.

  3. Set Graphics Preferences:

    Click on Options next to Google Chrome.

    Select High Performance as the graphics preference.

    Click Save to apply changes.

Method 2: Configure Nvidia Control Panel for Chrome

  1. Open Nvidia Control Panel:

    Right-click on your desktop and select Nvidia Control Panel.

    Alternatively, search for Nvidia Control Panel in your Start menu.

  2. Manage 3D Settings:

    In the left-hand menu, click on Manage 3D Settings.

  3. Assign Google Chrome:

    Under 1. Select a program to customize, choose Google Chrome from the dropdown menu.

    If it’s not listed, click Add and locate Chrome manually.

  4. Select High-Performance GPU:

    Under 2. Select the preferred graphics processor for this program, choose High-performance NVIDIA processor.

  5. Apply Settings:

    Click Apply to save the changes.
