Emitters (Radiator, Manifold, FCU, AHU)

Overview

Edit Emitter Properties, such as Pressure Drop and Volume, to ensure accurate system calculations for Radiators, Manifolds, FCUs, and AHUs. Accurate properties are essential for proper system performance.

Pressure Drop

Pressure Drop across an Emitter is used in the Recirculation Pump Duty calculation (if it is on the index circuit).

How To Review and Edit:

  • The Pressure Drop is defined in the Emitterโ€™s Properties under Technical.

  • Review the value to ensure it aligns with design expectations and the emitterโ€™s specifications.

  • Edit the Pressure Drop if necessary, using manufacturer data or system requirements.

  • The best place to review these details for the whole system, in one central location, is the PDF Schedules or Report Exports.

Volume

Volume is used in the system volume calculation.

How To Review and Edit:

  • The Volume is listed in the Emitterโ€™s properties under Technical.

  • Confirm the value is accurate and corresponds to the Emitterโ€™s Specifications.

  • Adjust the Volume as needed to reflect the actual internal capacity.
