Unheated Area

An Unheated Area defines an exclusion zone, which excludes certain floor areas from underfloor heating, such as spaces under baths, kitchen islands, or below-floor obstructions.

How to Add an Unheated Area

Step-by-step

  1. Select the Unheated Area button from the toolbar.

  2. Left-click to place each corner of the area.

  3. Double left-click or Right-click to complete the shape.

  4. Click Done in the top left corner, or press Escape to finalize.

How to Make Adjustments to an Unheated Area

If the Unheated Area causes loop generation issues, modify its size or position by dragging corners and making slight modifications to the shape. Even slight adjustments can be a big help in generating the loops

Unheated Areas can be used to manipulate where the loops generate. For example, if you want to prevent a loop from generating into a certain part of the room, or you want to straighten loops out, place an Unheated Areathere, and the loops will re-generate to your preferred layout.
